The Best Weight You Can Lose is Other People's Opinions of You

Hey lovely yogis and wellness warriors!

🌟 An effective yoga practice will bring to light what habits and thoughts don't serve us. We call these Samskaras in yoga. Worrying about what others think about us is a common one. Especially those of use who suffer from anxiety, depression or low self-esteem.

Imagine if we could unburden ourselves from the weight of what others think. Instead embrace our authentic selves. 🌈
When we worry about what others think, we're trading our inner peace for unnecessary stress

In the sacred space of self-discovery, it's crucial to recognize that what others think about us is none of our business. 🙌💖
This is not a call to indifference. But a powerful reminder that our worth and happiness aren't tethered to external opinions.

So, roll out your metaphorical yoga mat. Explore how liberating it can be to let go of these external expectations. Like in our practice, where we release tension and negativity with each breath. We can apply the same principle to our minds.

1. Self-Reflection in Your Personal Studio. Take a moment in your mental yoga studio to reflect on whose opinions are impacting your mood. Are they helping or hindering your journey to a happier, more energetic you? Remember, you are the captain of your own ship!

2. Warrior Poses Against Negativity: Channel your inner warrior on and off the mat. Stand tall and firm against negativity, like you would in a strong Warrior II pose. Let those opinions bounce off your shield of self-love and confidence. Let warrior poses help you become less of a worrier! Be a warrior instead!

3. Inversions for Perspective. Like getting upside down in an inversion, flip the script on those opinions. Consider where they're coming from and whether they hold any real weight in your life. Sometimes, a change in perspective can make all the difference. Remember that Patanjali taught in his Sutras that our thoughts can never be a true reflection of reality,

4. Core Strength in Self-Acceptance:. Building a strong core in your physical practice is vital. The same goes for your mental and emotional well-being. Strengthen your core values and self-acceptance. When you stand strong in your truth, others' opinions won't knock you off balance.

5.. Your Worth, Your Business. Repeat after me: "My worth is my business, and I'm in charge of its growth." When we internalize this mantra, the weight of external opinions lifts. This makes room for a more authentic and joyous self to emerge.

4. Liberation in Letting Go. The moment you release the need for validation from external sources, you experience a profound sense of liberation. It's like unshackling ourselves from unnecessary burdens. This allows us to dance through life with lightness and grace.

5. Savasana for Mental Clarity. Finally, let's end our mental work-in with a well-deserved Savasana. Release any lingering thoughts about what others think. This is your time to bask in the glow of self-love and acceptance.

A loving kindness meditation can be a lovely way of increase our compassion towards ourselves and others.

So, dear yogis and wellness warriors, make a pact to preserve your inner peace. Remember, what others think about you is their business, not yours. Your business is cultivating a garden of self-love, positivity, and authenticity. Remember, the most significant weight you can lose is the one that doesn't belong to you. That is, other people's opinions. No one is liked by everyone. Their perception of you says a lot about them too. Especially those ones who don't know you that well and choose to judge. Which is also human nature.

You've got this! 🌟💖

Sending love,
